One pot Creamy Louisiana Cajun Pasta

"Louisiana style creamy cajun pasta is a huge hit in my household and especially during those crazy weeknights when we have zero time to even think about what to make for dinner. To make things easier Alf fresco chicken sausage not only adds protein but adds so much flavor to this dish without having to compromise. "

Ingredients

1 package of al fresco Spicy Jalapeño Chicken Sausage

2 tbsp oil or butter

1/2 cup diced onions

1/4 cup diced bell peppers of choice

1/3 cup peas

2 tbsp garlic

1 tsp salt

1 tsp pepper

1 tsp oregano

1 tsp crushed red pepper

1 tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp onion powder

1/2 tbsp cajun seasoning

1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese

1 & 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream

1/2 box of cooked linguine pasta

Directions:

  • 1Heat up oil in a pan over med/high heat. Add in the onions and bell peppers and cook for 2-4 mins.
  • 2Next add in all the seasonings followed by peas and garlic. Stir until everything is well combined.
  • 3Add sliced alfresco chicken sausage and combine with everything else.
  • 4Add the heavy whipping cream, parm cheese and cooked noodles. Stir until the sauce is well combined with the pasta. Enjoy!
