One-Skillet Chicken Sausage Tortellini & Veggies Freezer Meal

Servings: 6
What you’ll need:

1 package al fresco Roasted Garlic or Roasted Pepper Asiago Chicken Sausage, in 1/4 inch slices

5 cups frozen mixed vegetables including broccoli, carrots, peas, and corn

2 cups frozen tortellini

1 cup half and half

1/4 cup olive oil

2 teaspoons dried parsley

2 teaspoons salt

1/4 teaspoon garlic salt

Directions:
  • Sauté sausage slices until edges slightly brown.
  • In a large bowl, combine sausage, frozen tortellini, and frozen vegetables.
  • In a medium bowl, combine half and half, olive oil, garlic, parsley and salt. Whisk to combine.
  • If making now, add mixture to a large skillet with a lid. Add 1/2 cup water, heat on high until water boils, then reduce heat to medium, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes. Add sauce packet, increase heat to medium-high. Continue to cook until sauce is no longer water and coats the pasta and veggies.
  • To make a freezer meal, transfer sausage, tortellini, and veggie mixture to a gallon sized freezer safe bag. Transfer sauce into a quart sized freezer safe bag and freeze.
  • To cook from frozen, follow step 4.
