Bacon Wrapped Dates Stuffed With Sausage

"These Bacon Wrapped Dates Stuffed With Sausage is the perfect party appetizer! The sweet and savory combo can’t be beat. All you need is al fresco’s Sweet Italian Style Chicken Sausage, dates, and bacon; it’s such a simple recipe!"

Ingredients

1 package al fresco Sweet Italian Style Chicken Sausage

10 large medjool dates

5 slices of bacon

10 wooden toothpicks

Directions:

  • 1Preheat oven to 400 F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • 2Carefully slice each date lengthwise on one side to remove the pit. Cut the bacon strips in half crosswise.
  • 3Slice the sausage once lengthwise and then five times crosswise into 10 pieces.
  • 4Place one piece of sausage in each date, wrap each date with a piece of bacon, and secure with a toothpick.
  • 5Place the bacon wrapped dates on the baking sheet. Bake for about 10 minutes, flip, and then 10 more minutes until bacon cooks and browns to your desire.
