Jalapeño Chicken Cheesesteak Bread

"This holiday season don't stress yourself out with all the cooking, prepping and not to mention dishes! This sheet pan Jalapeno chicken cheesesteak bread is not only a crowd pleaser but it's so comforting and easy to make! You can definitely use any Al Fresco brand sausage flavors you like such as sun dried tomato, Mexican etc. Feel free to add some mushrooms to this as well and of course you can use any sauce or chutneys to pair this with! "

Ingredients

1 package of al fresco Spicy Jalapeno Chicken Sausage

Store bought pizza dough

2 cups shredded cheese (mozzarella)

1 bell pepper - sliced

1 onion - sliced

2 tbsp oil

2 tsp Italian seasoning

1 tsp salt and black pepper

1 tsp crushed red pepper

Directions:

  • 1In a pan add some oil over medium heat.
  • 2Next add the onions and peppers along with the spices and stir until the seasoning is well incorporated.
  • 3Next add the sliced al fresco sausage and cook for an additional 3 mins.
  • 4In a baking pan, spread your pizza dough into a long log shape and add the peppers and onions mixture to the left side going down and sprinkle on the cheese. Fold the right side over and make sure the seams of the dough are closed.
  • 5Whisk the egg in a small bowl and brush it on the top of the bread. Bake in the oven at 400F for 20 mins. Enjoy
